Roger Dubois
Real Estate Agent
Roger was born and raised in a small French-speaking town, east of Quebec City. A shy kid with lots of dreams, when the first figure skating club opened in his hometown, he quit ice hockey and joined. Being the first male figure skater in a small town was not an easy thing to do, especially in those days, so his parents sent him to a private school in Quebec City where he was able to receive professional ice-skating training.
It was the beginning of a journey that brought Roger to over 35 countries and more than 500 cities, skating in shows like “Holiday on Ice” and “Walt Disney on Ice”. During his time on the world tour, Roger learned to speak English and Spanish, in addition to his native French.
After his skating career, he completed a bachelor’s degree in marketing and started his own
advertising agency after graduating. Not long after, he was hired by Online Marketing Agencies where he held the position of Director of Strategy for Interactive Services.
After taking a few vacations in Puerto Vallarta, Roger noticed all of the expats living a wonderful life in our city and was inspired to make the move himself 18 years ago, making it his new home. Roger joined Tropicasa Realty 7 years ago, quickly becoming an important part of our work family. “Working in real estate is perfect. I meet interesting people, clients often become my friends, my boss is very supportive, and I am free to manage my time as I wish, which is one of the main reasons I moved to Mexico – to have a more balanced lifestyle,” comments Roger.
Roger has lived in many neighborhoods in Puerto Vallarta, making him an area expert, and has recently moved to Fluvial Vallarta which, with lots of green spaces and walking trails, is perfect for him and his buddy Henry, a poodle that he rescued. The thing that he loves most about Puerto Vallarta is the diversity of its people and neighborhoods, making it a place where you will always feel at home.
