As part of our 25th anniversary, we’re celebrating the incredible team that is Tropicasa Realty. In the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing you to some of the amazing people that are not only dedicated to ensuring our clients have exceptional real estate experiences, but are the heart, soul, and success of Tropicasa Realty.

Marco Mata: Real Estate Agent

Marco was born in La Piedad, Michoacan, and grew up in the small town of La Ribera, Jalisco.

Often labeled as a shy boy, he surprisingly asked his mom for permission at 14 years old to move to Los Angeles, California with his dad to study English.

When he arrived in the United States, he was placed in ESL classes and finished them within 1.5 years and was able to move on to regular Freshman Language Arts classes, continuing to excel while also partaking in Swimming and Track.

After graduating, Marco worked in Los Angeles until 2011 and then decided to move back to Mexico, choosing Puerto Vallarta as his new home. His first job in the city was as a reservation agent at Vallarta Adventures and then he worked for Vidanta as a concierge.

Eventually he changed direction and began working for Ron Morgan Properties where he learned a lot and fell in love with Real Estate. He had plans to create his own Real Estate company, but when the pandemic hit, it became too difficult. Finally, in 2022 Marco joined Tropicasa Realty and has loved every minute.

Marco considers himself a very spiritual person, meditating twice a day. He stays active every week by riding his mountain bike, going scuba diving, and hiking.

Marco lives in Centro and and loves how centrally located it is to everything. “I love my neighborhood because I can walk everywhere in the Romantic Zone within minutes, and I always see a lot of friends out and about.”

On behalf of the entire Tropicasa team, thank you, Marco, for everything that you do.
