1) Make reservations early. If you are planning to celebrate with dinner out, be sure to confirm your table well in advance. Most upscale restaurants will offer prix fix dinners which include a Champagne toast at midnight.
2) Take public transportation. If you are heading downtown or to the famous Malecon, leave the car at your home or condo in Puerto Vallarta. Traffic will be congested, and parking will be a challenge. Buses, taxis, ride sharing or just walking will all be faster and easier.
3) Be a mindful host. If you are hosting a New Year’s Eve party to watch the incredible fireworks from the terrace of your condo in Puerto Vallarta, make sure that your friends aren’t driving after clinking their glasses to 2020. Have your phone and Wi-Fi password ready so guests can hail an Uber or be prepared with directions to the closest taxi stand.
